Pleshcheyevo Lake is a glacial lake that formed after the end of the last ice Age. As a result of the collapse of large blocks of ice, boulders remained on its shores, which were called "blue stones". In ancient times, when people first began to settle in these places, these boulders were considered sacred and they were worshipped. In modern times, there is only one large example of such a stone, which attracts the curious and near which there is a lively souvenir trade.
Near this "blue stone" there is a small and not very cozy beach. But if you walk along the path a little further, you can get to the local Miami Beach. Directly opposite the museum exhibition dedicated to the creation of the first Russian fleet, there is a beach, as well as a very interesting restaurant, stylized as a ship, and far from funny.
Both of these beaches are located far enough from Pereslavl-Zalessky, a city that stands on Pleshcheyev Lake. The city beach is now in a very poor condition, although there are still visible traces of the former Soviet infrastructure of the territory.
While relaxing on Pleshcheyev Lake, it is worth taking a very careful look at Pereslavl-Zalessky itself, famous for its monasteries. On its territory there are four active monasteries and one monastery, turned into a museum, Goretsky.
